Topman Design

It was my Topman Design Presentation today.. the past few days consisting of trying to push everything together and long group meetings. This piece of work is one which I have never fully understood and not been ready for. However after a night/morning of me been really ill I managed to get to the building and do the presentation and they all loved it (: With hardly any criticisms other than we fidgeted when we stood, we were all very proud of it and ourselves! Now just to print the Trend Briefing and its out of the way.

Now we only have one 6 weeks piece of work left after Easter and I finish for the summer! Arghhhh bit scary soon to be 3rd year!

Recent purchase!

I purchased a new dress last week, very excited to wear it! As a surprise it is like from Topshop.

I think with some dark tights and my denim shirt it will create a nice outfit! :)

Also this weekend I was very lucky to be given a present from my mum which was a Fisheye 2 camera.

With a few of my friends having one I've always wanted one to play about with and take some photos. Talking to my mum about them in the summer and telling her all about them resulted in her visit to Urban Outfitters been expensive! I'm off to purchase a film tomorrow and learn how to use it. I'm very excitedddd!

Lucy in Disguise

As mentioned before my love for Lily Allen is hugeeeeeee! When in the hair dressers 2 weeks ago I read an article about her clothing store which is to be launched in August. It is to be named Lucy in Disguise. This is to be a stylish clothing and rental shop in partnership with her sister. Taking a break from singing and focusing upon fashion, whilst already endorsing Chanel and on sitting on the front row of fashion shows, Lily is now going to allow people to rent designer clothing at affordable prices. This idea behind it is 'so people can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won't cost them a million dollars."

Although this is already big on hand bags, it is still yet to take off with clothing. I think Lily backing this and promoting the idea will give it the special touch to make it work! I can't wait to see the future of this. Good luck Lily

Kate Moss!

It seems such a long time since I last blogged. Topman Design work seems to be taking over my life, along with numerous friends birthdays, visiting home, going out and other uni work! Whilst spending a few days at home recently it meant I was able to pick up my new copy of April's Vogue that had come through the door. EXCITED! I had already been told how good it was and couldn't wait to look for myself.

Looking straight at me when I saw it was Kate Moss pictured upon the front cover with the pink writing, I knew what I was going to be reading all weekend! Within the magazine was 'Basic Instinct' a photoshoot 'Hopsack, linen, crinkly cottons and ravishing raffia...Spring's rough-hewn fashion comes seductively indone as interpreted by Kate Moss. Photographed by WIlly Vanderperre.' The photoshoot is aaaamazing, she looks sooo good!

Wonderland

The Alice in Wonderland film is out in 4 days timeeee! Myself and the girls I live with a VERY excited to go see this... I can't wait!! Watching the trailer and reviews of the premier I'm excited. A trend has been created from the release of this film. Many shop window displays in the UK and what I noticed in Paris, along with clothing trends are following the theme.

A couple of items which Selfridges are stocking in the Alice in Wonderland theme in Wonder Room include:

Whats Next?

Last week involved a busy week of putting together our group presentation for Kickers which we presented on Thursday to a representative from Kickers and Pentland group which thankfully with the rush of it went really well :)

After a week of going out and eating out numerious times too many (managing Nandos twice in one weekend!) I have to get back to my work. Which after a group meeting with my new group today I have started my Topman Design project. The project is very different to one I have done before.. I'm actually quite excited about this work!

London Fashion Week saw the growth of the men's fashion brand Topman Design, flying solo the military design with precision, the cut, colour scheme of army uniforms was seen. Some images of the A/W 2010 catwalk are seen below. I quite like them.
