Chanel Spring/Summer 2010

For the first time this year I got to look at Chanel's new Spring/Summer 2010 advertising campaign in March's Vogue. It is starring models Claudia Schiffer, Freja Beha Erichsen and Baptiste Giabiconi. I loved the advertising campaign from the moment I set my eyes on it, not only just because of my love for Chanel but also the actual shot. It is shot in Buenos Aires with Karl Lagerfeld on set. The location seems perfect, a complete contrast to the glamour clothing, from the historical location.
Schiffer is seen to be wearing head to toe Chanel including a black lace dress, quilted Chanel purse and a gaucho hat. I haven't seen all the set of images yet but from what I have seen they do seem perfect for the brand! They aren't bright and stand out at your face however they suit the brand.
Looking into the pictures I am quite surprised at how well Freja fits in with the brands image, as I have associated it for my whole life with an older woman, which is probably due to my assoication with the Chanel No.5 pefume, however she seems to bring her young edgy look well to the brand.

'I am delighted that Emma decided to help People Tree showing a new generation just how desirable, wearable and affordable Fair Trade fashion can bed,' the founder of People Tree, Safia Minney explained.
I think the collection is pretty good, I quite like it.

Shoppping Trip

Today I went shopping with my birthday money. I came across many lovely things I could have bought.. but kept thinking do I reallllllly need this? No, I actually need none of it! HOWEVER… with half an hour to spare before meeting my friend for a nice Nando’s lunch I headed to Topshop. Walking into the changing room with 8 items, I thought to myself I couldn’t purchase all of this. I ended up buying these lovely shoes, which I did need, a little… I guess! AND they are very nice and were cheap at only £18.

Plus also purchasing this...

which I do intend to wear as a top….somehow. I did very nearly purchase a nice stripy Eiffel Tower jumper and flower crop top the price of £38 (jumper) and £22 (top) when I didn’t actually need them it made me put them down!

Lets seee what exciting things I may buy tomorrow in Nottingham shoppping!

Birthday pieces

My birthday last week and with a busy week for myself, as when a normal week consists of uni and a couple nights out, I had five nights out a hand in date, uni work then a trip home for 3 days. I did fall behind slightly with my blogging! Going to try and make up for it.

My birthday I was very lucky and received some really nice presents :). From my brother I received some lace leggings from Topshop which I LOVE! I am yet to find/create an outfit to wear them with yet, but I do hope to take them on an outing soon!

I also received a black cardigan. This was from my cousins girlfriends range, SylviebeGladys. Sarah makes clothing and jewellery, which I do already have, a lot of. A pearl bow necklace which I wear everyday is one of my favourite pieces. The cardigan I had seen and worn before when I helped her on her stall at Christmas in Harrogate. It’s a black cardigan, that you wear back to front with the buttons and buttonholes at the back which are all vintage buttons. Also one of my new favourite pieces.

Which my bundle of Euros which I also received for my birthday I am looking forward to visiting some French boutiques to see what exciting things I find.
