I have never known a lot about this particular designer but after visiting his New York store last January with my course I took a great interest in his catwalk line. London Fashion Week is featuring a tribute to the designer, whose attention-grabbing designs helped re-energize British fashion after a fallow period following the punk explosion in the 1970s. He was known for his dramatic statement pieces and impeccable tailoring, dressing celebrities from Cameron Diaz to Lady Gaga and influenced a generation of designers. Also been named fashion designer of the year four times.
