Premiere Vision

Whilst in Paris we visited the huge industry trade show, Premiere Vision. It was amaaaazing! Stepping through the door I was overwhelmed, been greeted with a pass to allow me entry to the show and different halls which normally on industry brands can get their hands on. I felt a little bit important! Wandering into the trade show I was in my element as it was a trade show on trends and forecasting, the part of fashion I LOVE.
Heading over to the general forum and reading what pantone colours, collections of colours and names were predicted and chosen for the fashion industry for Spring/Sumer 2011. Followed by samples of fabrics for the industry to buy. Wandering around the 6 halls I saw just how a fashion brand runs. Sending an employee to the show choosing fabric, colours, looking at trends of clothing, components from zips to ribbons all the way through to manufacture.
I gathered information, informing me that the Spring Summer 2011 trends will 'shuffle fashion periods..to structure solutions that are more natural, simpler and more accurate.' 'cultivate the pertinence of blends over pure compositions....nourishes surprise, convey the positive side to risk and imagines a nature that is new, strange and marvelous, beneficial and futuristic. It sparks a taste for relaxed elegance and confirms the creative power to create dense and fluid, lively and deliciously material silhouettes. A season like a powerful, substantial and lightweight motor to banish monotony and show itself in broad day light.

'Sparkling Nonchalance, Regenerated Tailoring, Cheeky Opulence, Seduction, Distinction, Relax and Pulsation are the collections which will be featured in shops within a years time.'

The show was very strict on security therefore no pictures could be taken unfortunately apart from the few I managed to sneak on my phone. However I came across these on the internet.
This shows the different stands around halls 5 and 6, it was like a maze trying to navigate yourself around!

  1. Thank you for your great and useful article.

We see only some of the trends on runways. Actually, there is more than we see on runways. Fortunately, these kind of articles such as yours help us to find changes in fashion trends.
This springtime generally include pastel colors and soft-looking but you can also wear ripped jeans or ruffles. Relaxed fit pants, warrior look and feminine look with ruffles will hit streets.
We have to be on the lookout for new trends in the fashion world.
